Alice Dickson Schulz's Obituary
SCHULZ, ALICE “SNOOKIE” HUGHES, of Georgetown, Texas; formerly of Dallas and Austin, passed away Saturday, May 12th, surrounded by those who loved her. She will be sorely missed by both family and friends. She was born and raised in Dallas to Ed and Alice Hughes, on February 19, 1925. She was a long term employee of Restland Funeral Home in Richardson until her retirement in 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Billie Woodroof, her younger sister Barbara Taylor, and her loving husband of 49 years, Fred G. Schulz. She is survived by her daughters, Jo McWhorter (Danny) of Georgetown, and Lea Walker (Gary) of Corpus Christi; 4 granddaughters, Abby Clardy (Dean) of Round Rock, Joslyn Domel (Cecil) of Georgetown, Molly McWhorter of Round Rock and Katy McWhorter of Georgetown; and niece, Sharon Braden (Eugene) of Red Oak. Services will be held 3:30 PM Thursday, May 17th at Restland Wildwood Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A memorial service is pending in Sun City, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
