Aline Littlepage's Obituary
LITTLEPAGE, ALINE 100 years young, passed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her retirement home in Sherman, Texas. She was born on September 1, 1912 in Terrell, Texas to Charles and Lorita McClendon. She grew up in Dallas where she attended Forest High School. She was an excellent student and she particularly enjoyed drama. She left Forest High School at the young age of 16 to help support her large family following a debilitating injury to her father rending him unable to continue gainful work. Although she had to leave school prematurely, she loved reading. Her favorite reading material was western novels. She read the morning paper from cover to cover daily, until shortly before her death. She was a devoted wife to Albert Lee Littlepage for 56 years and a loving mother to her three children, Janis Hale, Gary Littlepage and David Littlepage. She was active in the PTA and other organizations which benefited her children. As a devout Christian, she was an active member of Casa View Baptist Church for over 50 years until she left Dallas in 2007 to enter a retirement home in Sherman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her youngest son, David Littlepage, and all 12 of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janis Hale of Kingston, Oklahoma; her son, Gary Littlepage of Houston, Texas; and eight wonderful grandchildren of whom she was so very proud. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 16 great, great grandchildren. A Memorial Service in celebration of Aline’s life is to be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday February 16, 2013 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
