ALISON AKINS ZENON
Alison “Abby” Akins Zenon passed away on March 31, 2023. She was born in Dallas, Texas on January 15, 1949 to Lawrence E. Akins and Gene M. Akins. She grew up in Midland, Texas and attended Midland High School through her freshman year. When her family relocated to Dallas in 1964, she attended Lake Highlands High School and graduated in 1967. She was a gifted artist, and upon graduation, worked at Buddy Magazine as a graphic design artist. After marriage, she dedicated herself to living a domestic life and raising her only child. She was a loving and devoted grandmother who was actively involved in the lives of her three grandchildren.
Alison was preceded in death by her father (Larry Akins) and brother (Monty Akins). She is survived by husband (Mike Zenon), daughter (Natalie Zenon), three grandchildren (Trace, Michael Ray, and Camryn “Cami”), mother (Gene Akins), and sister (Cameron Akins Menard).
Alison was an incredibly beautiful girl, graced with intelligence, talent, kindness, and humility. Her love of home and family was the bedrock of her life. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Upon her request, a private memorial service will be held by her family.
