Allan Ellis Brown's Obituary
Allan Ellis Brown, 82, of University Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024.
He was born on March 17, 1941, in Kilgore, Texas, to Grace and Claude (Brownie) Brown.
Allan graduated from Highland Park High School, attended Texas Tech University, and graduated from the University of North Texas. He served in the Army during Vietnam and spent his career as a real estate appraiser.
Allan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rene Brown, son Mark Allan Brown, and daughter Abigail Brown. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Knickerbocker.
Allan loved the Piney Woods and Lake Cherokee. He was a natural musician who enjoyed playing piano, guitar, and nearly any other musical instrument. He loved singing and playing music with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Restland's Abbey Chapel, on January 11th, 2024, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
The family would like to invite you to a time of fellowship immediately following the committal service at the Brown residence located at 3020 Amherst Ave. University Park, TX 75225.
