Allan Joseph Duval's Obituary
Allan J. DuVal, 74, born on July 3, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan passed away on November 6, 2014 in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Ruth DuVal. Allan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy; son, David and grandsons, Taylor and Kelvin of Colorado; daughter, Julie and grandaughter, Hannah of The Colony, Texas, and daughter, Mrs. Will (Suzanne) James and grandson, Billy and grandaughter, Lauren of Wylie, Texas: sister, Mrs. Richard (Diane) Dickerson of Nevada and brother, Dennis of Minnesota. Allan graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and worked throughout his career in the paper industry both in Michigan and in Texas after moving to Richardson in 1975. He was a Plant Engineer at RockTenn in Dallas before retiring in 2005. He and his wife then enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Allan was smart, funny, hardworking, creative, athletic, brave and most of all a devoted family man. He will be sorely missed by all of us. The service for Allan Duval will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
