Allen Arlen King Sr.'s Obituary
Allen Arlen King passed away on September 8, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 7, 1936 and lived a very full and adventurous life. He joined the circus at age 12. He sought fame and fortune in California at age 16. As an adult, he served in the U.S. Army, fought for the Golden Gloves, was an instructor pilot, sold tires and real estate and was an adjunct instructor for Vernon Regional College.
He married the love of his life, Patsy Joann Wilson, on December 26, 1958. They spent much of their time travelling the world. When they were not together, you would find him either tinkering with his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air or flying in his airplane.
Along with his wife, he is survived by son, Allen King, Jr.; daughter, Karrie King Lindquist; grandsons, Christopher Baker, Tyler Baker, Allen King, III, William King and Robert Gage Lindquist; great-grandchildren Lila Rae, Aris Firenza, and Apollo Lucca and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Arza Andrew and Jerry Nell King, brother David King and sister Mary Frances Spradlin.
The funeral service will be held September 23rd at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Av., Dallas Texas at 10:00 A.M followed by a graveside service at DFW National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
