Mr. Allison Quitman Marks' Obituary
MARKS, ALLISON Q. (AL) Born Leesville, LA 1/21/28 died 12/04/07 Dallas, TX. Graduated from Lufkin High, Lufkin TX and from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in Accounting 1950. Married Ann Riddell Marks in Dallas 1951. Served with the United States Army in Korea, Feb. 1 thru Sept. 5, 1952 on the Body Armor Team conducting field testing on what would become today’s Kevlar vests worn by both the military and law enforcement. He was employed in the petroleum and manufacturing business in Dallas and Sherman, TX. Served on the Vestry St. Stephens Episcopal Church Sherman and was active in scouting with Texoma Valley Council. Was a member of the Petroleum Accounting Society of Dallas. Survived by wife Ann, sons Brian A. of Richardson and Alan H. Marks of Katy, TX. Grandchildren Laura, James and Katherine of Katy, TX and grandsons David, Michael and Mark Gregory of Pittsburgh, PA Services Friday, Dec. 7, at 3:30 pm Wildwood Chapel Restland.
