Alma Jean Dietz's Obituary
Dietz, Alma Jean ~ Our Lord welcomed our beloved Mother, home on November 9, 2010. Born in Milano, Texas on 02/26/1920. Alma was the eldest of four siblings. She graduated from Milano High School, attended the University of Texas and met her future husband, Horace Dietz, during a summer session at Sam Houston State Teachers College in 1940. They married 11/08/1941, in Dallas, Tx. Jean was employed by the JC Penney Company for over 25 years. She enjoyed her retirement traveling and spending time with her family. Famous for her peanut brittle, molasses cookies and apple pie, she was also an avid reader, loved gardening, sewing and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church. Survived by four children; Steve and Beth Dietz of McAllen, Tx; Judy and Rex Reynolds of Rockwall; Gregg and Lesa Dietz of Garland and Rebecca Dietz of McKinney; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are at 12:30 pm Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Wildwood Chapel of Restland in Dallas Texas.
