Alma Louise Woodall's Obituary
Alma Louise Woodall, born July 10, 1929 in Brewster, NY, to the late Dudley Joseph Bogle and Julia Bailey Bogle, passed away on February 1, 2018 from complications following surgery. She was a beloved sister, mother and “Maw Maw”.To meet Alma was to become her friend. She loved people and was a gifted listener. Within minutes of the most casual acquaintance, even total strangers would find themselves confiding their sorrows and fears to her and receiving consolation, comfort, encouragement and quite often a hug. She touched many lives with her open, loving heart and will be remembered for her kind and generous nature, as well as her endurance and her wicked sense of humor.Alma was a long-time member of Ethnos Bible Church of Richardson, TX. Her favorite bible passage is Psalm 23 and she lived her life by Colossians 3:12 – 14. “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”She is survived by her sister Elinor Taylor of Richardson and two daughters, Juliann Bassett of Rockwall and Patricia Perez of Rowlett, 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great- great-grandchildren.The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her church family, friends and the caregivers who provided loving care in her final year.Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, February 9 at 3:00 at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ethnos Bible Church Widows Care fund.
