Alphonso Edwin Dennis, Sr. was born November 3, 1948 in Monrovia, Liberia passed away February 13, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. He was a devoted husband and loving father who was admired by many. Al will be remembered for his ability and willingness to talk to everyone, as he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Dennis; daughter, Albertine Comfort Dennis. Alphonso is survived by his mother, Erma H. Taylor; wife, Gladys Dennis; daughters, Edwina Dennis Clark, Hope Dennis; son, Alphonso Dennis, Jr. (Erika); his grandchildren, his brothers, sisters and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. The wake for Alphonso Dennis, Sr. will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, February 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Hamilton Park Richardson. The funeral service for Alphonso will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Hamilton Park, Richardson. Reception will be held after the burial at Aldeez (Restaurant), 7879 Spring Valley Road, Richardson, Texas, 75254. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
