LOVE, ALTAMARY (PUD) WADLEY HOUSTON Born May 13, 1921 in Ferris, Texas the much beloved and cherished only child of Burr P. Wadley and Pauline Weatherford Wadley. Died February 28, 2009 in Dallas, Texas where she was a 70 year resident of University Park. A graduate of Sunset High School and Texas Women’s University,”Pud” as she was affectionately known to all her entire life, was a lifelong student of the world, learning about and forming famous opinions on all subjects and situations. She was predeceased by her first husband, Horace Benjamin Houston and her second husband Robert Love as well as special friend Frank Henning and countless other friends and relatives. Pud is survived and greatly missed by son and only child, William W. (Bill) Houston, grandchildren Loarn Charles (Chuck) Houston, wife Brandi and their daughter Morgan of Mesquite, Susan Houston Boyce, husband Lance and their children Abigail, Logan and Peyton of Houston, Jan Houston and Barbara Houston of Nashville, Tennessee as well as her loyal and faithful canine companion Molly. Pud was known for her wit, wisdom, generosity, infectious laugh and love of life, which she graciously shared with everyone she ever knew. In life she was a world-traveler, impeccable hostess, lover of great literature and quite simply the most devoted mother and grandmother to those of us blessed to call her Mom and Grandmama. The family wishes to thank Annie Taylor for the years of care and companionship she shared with Mrs. Love as her caretaker. A private service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 to remember and honor Pud’s wonderful life. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Children’s Medical Center or a favorite charity are requested.
