Alva M. Pless' Obituary
Alva M.Pless passed away October 22, 2017 at her home in Bonham, Texas. She was born July 30, 1947 in Dallas. Her parents were Loyd and Edna Moore. She was 70 years of age.Alva was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold L. Moore and Roger L. Moore, and her husband of 52 years, Edward L. “Buster” Pless. Edward and Alva met when they were just 17 and spent their lives together. Since losing him this past April, Alva was never the same and longed to be with him again. Now, they are together, again, in Heaven where they will never be apart.Edward and Alva were blessed with two daughters, Tammy Ray and Connie Green. They had four grandchildren, Tamara, Christopher, Keith, and Jennifer and 10 great grandchildren. In addition, Alva had four nephews, Jerry Moore, Billy Moore, Perry Moore, and Roger L. Moore, Jr.; one niece, Wendy Moore Lyons; numerous other extended family and dear friends. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.The service for Alva will be at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park with Chaplain Kent Arrendell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Wildwood Chapel prior to the service beginning at 11:30 am. Following the service, there will be a short procession to Restland Memorial Park for a brief committal service where Alva will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Garden of Inspiration. Christopher Jones, Billy Moore, Johnathon Moore, Perry Moore, Matthew Poppas, and John Eric Straughen will serve as pallbearers. Danny Lyons and Norman Shelton are honorary pallbearers.Please take a moment to sign the online guest register on this website and leave your condolences.
