GAUER, ALVIN (BLACKIE) Born on February 26, 1931 in McClennan County, TX and died July 20th, 2008 in Garland, TX. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy. Also survived by sons Billy Ray, Bennie Joe, Ben, and Alvin Dale , daughter, Anna Crabtree, sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother, Herman Gauer and sisters, Katie Leathers and Willow Siegler. Service will be held at 12:30 Wednesday, July 23, at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:30’8:30 pm , Tuesday, July 22 at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Hospice Foundation, 2120 L Street, NW, Suite 200 Washington, DC 20037.
