Alvin Thomas Reed's Obituary
Alvin “Thomas” Reed would not want his loved ones to grieve, but to find comfort in his memory. The Lord called his son, Alvin “Thomas” Reed home on May 24, 2015. Thomas was the fourth child of L.G Reed Sr. and Callie Reed. Thomas was born, March 28, 1958, in Brownsville, TN. He accepted Christ at an early age at the Church of the Living God P.G.T #2 in Decatur, IL, under the leadership of Bishop Thomas L. Cooper. Thomas married Andre Demus in Garland, TX, in 1988, and they remained married until the Lord called him home. He leaves in his memory his children: Dante Reed and Hakeem Reed both of Garland, TX. Terrell Reed and Shavonn Reed both of Decatur, IL and Davi Jackson (Angela) of Garland, TX. His mother Callie Reed of Decatur, IL; His sisters: Willetta Leaks of Decatur, IL, Maxzine (Melvin) Holliday of Killeen, TX, Cozetta (William) Mabon of Decatur, IL, and Barbara (Charles) Bailey of Radcliff, KY; His brothers: L.G. Reed Jr. of Calumet City, IL, and Harvery (Sharon) Reed of Little Rock, Ar. Thomas also leaves behind in his loving memory his ten grandchildren of Decatur, IL, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his father L. G Reed Sr. and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
