Alvin James Schrimsher's Obituary
SCHRIMSHER, ALVIN JAMES born April 2, 1925, in Cowlington, Ok, and passed away April 3, 2012, in Plano, Tx. Son of Maggie and James Schrimsher, both deceased. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Nell Schrimsher, and a daughter, Betty S. Acklin. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jim Fletcher of Plano; his granddaughter and her husband, Abbie Acklin-Johnson and Michael Johnson; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Acklin of McKinney; sisters Gladys Fitzgerald and Hazel Yost; nephew James Fitzgerald and wife Karol, all of Fort Worth. A.J. served his country in the Army in World War II from 1944-1946 as Staff Sergeant. After his honorable discharge his commitment to serve continued through his dedication to his family. He was loved by his family and friend and will be dearly missed. Family will received friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, April 5, at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, April 6, at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
