Alyse Mareta Newby's Obituary
Mareta was born the eldest of 4 children on May 1, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Helen & Joseph Sullins. She spent her early life working in the building business with her first husband, D.B. Lovell, and later worked as an executive secretary until she retired at age 72. Mareta enjoyed sharing her time with friends, family and fellow churchgoers. She was the type of woman who everyone admired and looked to for good positive advice. She was a truly strong woman, who survived many hard times and deaths. Mareta was a true Christian lady and always made an impression on people she met. She was beautiful both inside and out. Mareta lost her long battle with dementia on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Mareta is survived by her husband of 28 years, Clyde Newby, 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
