Amalia Joya's Obituary
Amalia Joya, age 69, of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 after a long courageous battle of 14 years with Alzheimer's. We take comfort in knowing she is now free from the fog and finally at peace.
Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila on January 26, 1957, she was the daughter of Eligio and Sara Sierra. Amalia was a loving, devoted, hardworking mother, grandmother, and wife who fought to the very end.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Juan Joya.
Her oldest son, David Joya, his two sons, David and Isaac Joya, and Isaac's fiancée Esthefania Vazquez Lopez.
Son Gerardo Joya, his fiancée Jessica Huerta, and their two daughters Sophia-Belen and Victoria Joya.
And daughter Veronica Joya, fiancé Antonio Molina, and her three children, Damian, Xavier, and Ariana Martinez.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 5:30PM at Restland Funeral Home
13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
