Amy Lynne Bush's Obituary
On Sunday, April 23, 2023, Amy Lynne (Barnett) Bush, deeply loved by family and friends, passed away at the age of 33. She was born December 10, 1989, in Irving, Texas, to Jeff and Laurie Barnett. Amy graduated from Royse City High School in 2008 and attended Midwestern State University. She married the love of her life, Terrence Bush, on November 19, 2008, and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2020.
Amy was a gifted athlete and dominated on the basketball court and softball field. She loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was a day at the lake or on the beach. She was an animal lover and considered her dogs part of her family. Amy was known for her kind and loving heart and hugs that could take your breath away. Her smile would light up the room and brighten anyone’s day.
Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert & Rose Johnson and John Barnett, uncles, Robert Johnson, Jr., David Johnson, James Johnson, and Vance Barnett, grandparents-in-law, R.B. and Pearlie Mae Booker and William Bush, fur babies, Ali, Beethoven, Barber, Stevie and Pearl Barnett.
She is survived by her husband Terrence, parents Laurie and Jeff, grandmother Betty Barnett, uncles and aunts, Lawrence and Colleen Cates, Jeff Johnson, Carole Johnson, Richard & Laryssa Johnson and Duane and Susan Barnett, parents-in-law, Mattie Mae Bush and William H. and Emery Bush, siblings-in-law, Terrell Bush, N’Keshia Booker, and Velesha Booker, uncles-in-law and aunts-in-law, William and Kimberley Booker, Katie Booker, Brenda Booker, Robert Booker, and Dorothy Booker, fur babies, Caesar Bush and Mackey Barnett, and an abundance of cousins who were like brothers and sisters to her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
