Amy Siv's Obituary
Amy Siv, of Garland, Texas, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on April 12, 2021 at age 76 to reunite with her husband Nu To Huynh. She was born in Cambodia in September of 1944.
Amy is survived by her only child, Star Huynh; her daughter-in-law, Vanessa; and her granddaughter, Vada. Many friends and relatives will dearly miss her.
Amy was the matriarch of the family. Those who knew Amy loved Amy. You could go to the places she used to frequent, drop her name and someone would know who she was. She loved to cook for everyone, sing karaoke, dance, exercise, and travel. She was an accomplished seamstress in her heyday. After a career as a seamstress, she decided to stay at home and eventually became a child caretaker for many families. She was an integral part of many children’s upbringing to include her granddaughter, Vada.
The funeral service will take place at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, on April 19th, 2021. The viewing is scheduled for 1:30 to 2:30 PM. The ceremony will start at 2:30 PM and burial will immediately follow.
