Andra Spickard Yorstoun's Obituary
Andra Spickard Yorstoun peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2024. Born October 19, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents A.W. and Beatrice Spickard. She spent her childhood alongside her beloved sister, Janice Spies. Andra married Vernon K. Roberts of Ft Worth, TX in 1953, and they had two wonderful daughters, Kay and Kristy.
Andra, along with her mother and sister, owned and operated Andra’s Young Fashions in Preston Royal shopping center for 35 years from 1960-1995. It was her great joy to connect with all who entered the store. From finding the perfect party outfit to exquisitely wrapping a gift box, she always had a deep love of making people feel special and beautiful.
A devout follower of Jesus, Andra was an active member of Northwest Bible Church. Her favorite way to serve at church was to care for babies in the nursery for over two decades. Her joyous laugh and servant’s heart will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Andra was preceded in death by her parents, A. W. and Beatrice Spickard, sister Barbara Ann Spickard, sister Janice Spies, husband Vernon K. Roberts, daughter Kay Hatcher, and second husband Victor Yorstoun. A proud mother and grandmother, Andra is survived by her daughter, Kristy Edwards. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Chris Hatcher (Eric), Taylor Wynkoop (Leland), Meredith Hart (Blair), Brody Carmichael, and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park on Sunday, April 21st at 2 pm. Prior to the service visitation will be held from 1-2 pm.
