Just want to leave a note to Andrea's family -
Andrea was a most extraordinary person - a friend to so many. Andrea was a giver and a connector. She brought people together for activities, learning, fun and prayer. Her friends became my friends. She made everyone feel special. She adored her family and was proud of all of them - Dane, Melanie, Chris, and especially Marissa. As her friend, I knew all about you.
Andrea experienced great sorrow for a long, long time when her sweet husband Jim passed. I visited them in the hospital when Jim was there - and she spent hours with him holding his hand and reading to him - even when he was not responsive. She was truly devoted to him. The spouses of others before and after Jim, including my partner, also passed. She was a comfort to others as all of her friends tried to be a comfort to her. Jim was clearly the love of her life.
Andrea was always on the go - always busy, involved, engaged, creative, and caring for others in so many ways. I have hundreds of memories of her - all wonderful.
I am so sorry she is gone from this earth, but glad she does not have to fight cancer any more. She could not get out of bed toward the end. But now she is in heaven, and dancing with Jim. And that makes me happy to know.
I miss her terribly as you all do - but I am also grateful for every minute that I enjoyed with her. Thank you for sharing your wonderful mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Love to all of you. Lynda Starnes
