Andres Olbera Camacho's Obituary
Beloved husband, father and grandfather Andres Olbera Camacho, (81) was born on November 1, 1930 and passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend, caregiver and servant leader. Andres Camacho had a heart of gold and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone he met. Andres followed Christ’s example of serving others and his daily hidden acts of service never went unnoticed in Heaven. Andres attended mass at St. Mark Catholic Church and when he no longer could attend mass he was visited every Sunday by St. Mark Church volunteers who provided him with Holy Communion. He was a longtime resident of Plano, Texas but was born in Ingleside, Texas. Andres settled in North Dallas to raise his three daughters and always instilled the importance of getting an education since he was not afforded one when he was a young boy. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Eufemia (Faye) Camacho; his daughters, Janey C. Appia, Matilda (Teena) Camacho, Angelina Salazar; sons-In-law, George E. Appia and Jose Espinal; granddaughter, Jeanette Salazar; granddaughter, Felicia Berain and husband, Andrew Berain; great-grandchildren, Alexus Berain and Andrew Berain, Jr. His surviving brothers, Patricio Camacho, Jesus Camacho, Jose Ines Camacho; sisters, Lupe Garza and Eloisa Perez. Andres began his career as a mechanic working on commercial and private jets at Cooper Aeromotive and retired early to start his own business. Andres established Cam-Mex Records and Cam-Mex Video stores in the Dallas and Garland areas. Andres was an accomplished composer and began writing songs for the numerous music groups under his recording label “Cam-Mex” and he later retired from the music business. Andres also owned and managed a small restaurant by the name of “Pollo Rico” in Dallas. Andres had a passion and love of music that he continued to write songs for other local musicians. Andres treasured his family and took particular joy in spending time with his family during cookouts, traveling or just composing music. Andres loved his granddaughter Jeanette and also shared a special bond with his great-grandchildren Alexus and Andrew Jr. and they were a source of immense joy and fulfillment in his life as he nurtured their amazing spirit and budding musical talents. Andres loved his daughters and always made sure he was available for any needs that had to be taken care of. Our family is so grateful for the loving care Andres received from the entire staff of Faith Hospice. The family wishes to thank Adrianna, Agazine, Diana, Elizabeth, Mark, Nancy, Allison and Dr. Christina for providing such excellent care. The family would also like to express their gratitude for all the family and friends that provided comfort and support during our time of need.
