Andy Michael Anderson passed away on February 21, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born to Lynwood and Adalene Anderson on October 01, 1944 in Dallas, Texas.Andy was a barber from the age of 16. He worked with his father and brother at Anderson Barber Shop which he later owned as The Golden Shears. He grew up in Dallas where he graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1963. He then went on to study and graduate from East Texas State University. After college he worked as a stock and commodities broker. He later worked as a realtor and a real estate broker.Andy was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn; and his brother, Steve. He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Anderson of Lewisville, Texas; son, Jeffrey Anderson of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Anita Anderson Hussain of Mesquite, Texas; brother in law John Lewis Hussain of Mesquite, Texas; sister in law, Carolyn Anderson of Forney, Texas; niece, Stefanie Hussain of Mesquite, Texas; nephew, Jonathan Hussain of Portland, Oregon; grandson, Carter Michael Wilson of Lewisville, Texas; and grandson, William Garrett Wilson of Lewisville, Texas; former wife, Janis Anderson of Dallas, Texas; and countless life long friends.Next to his family, Andy’s greatest passion was found in music. He absolutely loved playing his guitar and did so for many years in many places and was still playing until the very end.A memorial service to celebrate Andy’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
