Andy N Chrissikos' Obituary
Andy N. Chrissikos, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife, Froso, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Born in Finikunda, Messinia, Greece on June 1, 1938, Andy was the beloved son of the late Niko and Vasiliki Chrissikos and dear brother of the late Panagiota.
Andy is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Froso Chrissikos; his loving sons Nick and wife Theodora, Theo and wife Feryal; and his adored granddaughters Zoe and Andrea, as well as his siblings George and Aggeliki. He will be forever remembered as a caring husband, proud father, grandfather, brother, and faithful friend to all who knew him.
In 1958, Andy immigrated to Montreal, Canada, from Greece, and ten years later made Grand Prairie, Texas his home. Driven by a passion for family and hard work, he fulfilled the American dream by opening Theo’s Fried Chicken, in Grand Prairie, Texas, which he proudly operated for 24 years. The restaurant became more than a business; it became a lively gathering place where friendships flourished, and community ties deepened across Fort Worth and Dallas.
Andy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved good food, especially Froso’s cooking, playing cards with friends and family, and was known for his unfailing good luck at the card table. His life was marked by determination, generosity, and deep faith. Even when faced with health challenges, he remained strong and grateful, especially after a life-improving kidney transplant, for which he and his family were deeply thankful, especially to his entire medical team.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, Texas. Viewing begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Trisagion (prayer service) at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery, with a Makaria (mercy meal) to follow.
Pallbearers will be Angelo Chokas, James Tsevoukas, Lenny Boutris, Pete Panagopoulos, Tom Panagopoulos, and Frank Sideris.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the UT Southwester Kidney Department, (214) 648-2344 in honor of Andy’s life and the exceptional care he received.
