Angela M Reiter Hill's Obituary
Angela was born July 30, 1945 to Edward and Lucy Redding in New Kensington, Pennsylvania; where she grew up her whole young life.
She graduated with high honors from New Kensington High School, and was active in many clubs including choir, art, yearbook and photography. She was also crowned Miss. Allegheny of New Kensington, PA.
In 1972, Angela met Stan Reiter, and it was love at first sight. They had a very short, but loving courtship. After only three months they were engaged; and then married a short four months later on December 9, 1972. They were happily married for 37 years. They began their married life in Tulsa, Oklahoma where both of their daughters were born.
In 1977, Stan was transferred through his job at Travelers Insurance to Dallas, Texas. Angela worked small at home businesses so that she could stay at home and raise her girls.
When Stan retired from the insurance business, he and Angela opened their own gift store in the Olla Podrida mall and named it Fiddlesticks. They built and worked their business together for the next 22 years. They loved working together, and both of their daughters even worked with them from time to time. Angela always said it was a true blessing to have her family around.
Years later, Amy married Steve, and Erin married Aaron. Angela always said she gained two sons. Over the next several years she was blessed to become “Mimi” to her four wonderful grandchildren: Megan, Bridget, Reid and Edward.
As much as she loved her two daughters, her grandchildren were the little lights in her life. She always lived close to both of her girls and was able to spend much quality time with all her family. Her greatest joy was watching them grow up and live blessed and meaningful lives.
On November 21, 2009, Angela laid her husband, Stan, to rest after a valiant battle with cancer.
Around four years later, Angela was reconnected to a high school sweetheart of hers named Ron Hill. Shortly afterward, they were happily married in 2014. Ron then moved from Virginia to Texas where he gained even more family. They were blessed to live close to Aaron and Erin, and when Edward (Eddie) was born, they were able to be a very active part in raising him. It filled them with great joy! Ron’s family has a farm in the East Texas area, and many precious memories have been made there with all of the family.
On November 19, 2023, Ron suddenly passed away. He had his memorial service on the family farm surrounded by those who loved him and Angela.
Angela stayed active with her hobbies, her fur babies, And of course, her family. Angela has been described by many to have more talent in her little finger more than some people have in their whole body. She was a masterful and beautiful painter, a great seamstress, she made amazing wreaths, and she could professionally crochet anything.
She was also an active part in her church, Kings Service at Church in the park in downtown Dallas. She had a beautiful, servant heart and a true love for people. On June 30th, she gave her life fully to Christ and was baptized by Nate Scott, and her grandson, Reid.
In December of 2023, she was diagnosed with lymphoma. She spent her last year making wonderful and blessed memories with her family and friends.
On December 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, she passed peacefully from this world to her eternal Home in Glory.
She is survived by her daughter Amy, and her husband Steve Robinson, and their children Megan, Bridget and Reid of Garland, Tx.
She is also survived by her daughter Erin, and her husband Aaron Irwin, and their son, Edward (Eddie) of McKinney, Tx.
Angela was a loving, caring, kind, strong, thoughtful and nurturing woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered and missed by all of her friends and family. Her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to church in the park, c/o the family, in lieu of flowers.
