Anita Espinosa's Obituary
Espinosa, Anita Gauna Went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2009. She was a devoted mother and a wonderful homemaker. She was born on Dec. 29, 1914 in Floresville, Tx., to Anita and Ignacio Gauna. She married Eliseo Espinosa on July 18, 1928. They had 15 children. She was preceded in death by her 2 infant sons, husband Eliseo, 2 daughters, Conine Flanagan and Eve Carpenter. Anita is Survived by 4 sons; Moses, Adiel, Adam of Garland, and Jimmy of Rowlett, 7 daughters, Sarah Ybarra, Benita Cisneros, Ruth DeLeon, and Margaret Gonzales of Garland, Naomi Hunt of Mineola, Lisa Carr of Mesquite and Anita Gomez of Houston. She is also survived by 47 grandchildren, 117 great-grand-children, and 22 great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Vista Care Hospice, especially to nurses Vicky, Barbara, Nancy, and Ruth. Cathy Heath, Mom’s nurse aide, was extremely devoted to mom’s care, and Chaplain Bob for spiritual guidance. A special thanks to Isabel Martinez, who assisted the family with our mother’s care at home. Funeral arrangements were taken care by Restland. A memorial service celebrating her life will be Friday April 3, at 11:30am at New Life Baptist Church (on the corner of 1st St & Miller Rd.) with the Rev. Eliseo Aldupe officiating. Viewing will be Thurs 6-8:00pm.
