Anita Holcomb Maxwell's Obituary
Thelma Anita Davis Holcomb-Maxwell (Nana) was born in Dallas, TX on April 10,1920. She died on December 29, 2010. Anita was preceded in death by her parents Velma and Walter Davis. Her late husband Doug Holcomb passed in 1991. Anita loved people, never met a stranger. She was married to Douglas Holcomb for 50 years. She met and married Jimmy Maxwell in 1996-the love of her life. She loved to travel and loved helping people. Her joy was doing for others….never thinking of herself first. She was a ceramic teacher at First Baptist in Dallas for a number of years and owned Anita’s Ceramic Studio. Anita always said she was so lucky to have two sweet husbands. Both were good men and spoiled her rotten. She had two sets of in-laws, the Holcombe family and Jimmy’s family – the Maxwell’s and a sweet “Little Granny Maxwell”. She adored these two families. She leaves to mourn her wonderful husband Jimmy, a son Lonnie Holcomb and his wife Pat, 3 granddaughters and their husbands, 5 great granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, 2 great-great-granddaughters, father-in-law, mother-in-law, four aunties and one “unckie” Wayne, several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
