Anita Palacios' Obituary
Anita Palacios passed away in Dallas, Texas, the city in which she was born. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Elvira Palacios, and survived by eight siblings and their families: Lucy Morales, Celia Ashton, Tillie Piguet, Christina Martinez, Herman Palacios, Raymond Palacios, Celestina Palacios, and her beloved twin sister Juanita Cron.
In addition, Anita leaves behind her beautiful daughter Maria Ann Barlow and her husband Matt Barlow. Maria and Matt brought much joy to Anita’s life in her role as a grandmother; grandchildren Meira, Angelica, Joseph, Annabelle, and Jenna will carry fond memories of their times with grandma throughout their lives. Anita graduated from Crozier Tech High School, and earned an Associates Degree from Rutherford-Metropolitan School of Business. From there, she pursued a career in business, employed by the Veteran’s Affairs Office.
They were fortunate to have her service for twenty-five years.
Those who knew her were aware of her profound spirituality and strong religious bond with the Catholic Church. This was evidenced not only through her outpouring of strength, compassion, and giving heart, but also through her service to the religious community. She served as President of the Women’s Guild, International Affairs Spokesperson for DDCW-Dallas Deanery of Catholic Women, and was also Chairperson for funding at St. Augustine Church.
Those who were blessed to know Anita will miss her vibrant personality, determination, laughter, love, and sweet soul.
Eternal Rest grant unto Anita Palacios, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon her. May she Rest In Peace. Amen.
