Anita Colucci Pepper's Obituary
PEPPER, ANITA COLUCCI Anita passed away peacefully on Aug 13th, 2012 at Prestonwood Nursing Center. She was born on March 25, 1928 to the late Joseph and Linda Colucci. Anita was raised in Paterson, NJ and graduated from Paterson State College in 1949 where she earned her teaching degree. In 1951 Anita married Henry Pepper. She taught elementary education in Wayne, New Jersey for nearly 50 years. Anita spent the last sixteen years of her life in Carrollton, TX to be near her grandchildren. She spent her life loving and taking care of children. Whether it be in her classroom or with her grandkids she was happiest when she was surrounded by children. Anita gave the children in her life the greatest gift of all, time and love. Nonnie always had food in her purse and dinner in her car and her door was always open. Her kindness and generosity was felt by all and she will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry and her beloved daughter Linda. She is survived by her sister Marlene, her brother Anthony, her brother-in-law Tom Pepper, son Louis and his wife Jan and her very special grandchildren Michael and his wife Kathleen, Toni, Lexi and Trevor. She is also survived by Michael’s and Trevor’s mother Gail Connolly with whom she was especially close along with many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. The family would like to give a special thank you to Prestonwood Nursing Center for their kind and exceptional care and her Hospice nurse Diana who made her journey peaceful. Family will receive friends on FROM 6-8PM on Tuesday, August 14th at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:30PM, Wednesday, August 15th at Restland Memorial Chapel . Memorials may be made to Holy Covenant Early Childhood Development Program at 1901 East Peters Colony, Carrollton, Texas 75007 or to a children’s charity of your choice.
