Anjanette Payton's Obituary
Anjanette Payton was born in Rockwall, TX in 1936 and was a wife and mother of 3, working a full time job, who always put the needs of her family before herself. She worked 35 years at Texas Instruments and retired in 1991. She cared for her husband, father and mother until their deaths. Anjanette made the decision to move from Garland, TX to Holly Lake Ranch to enjoy some retirement time for herself. She lead and active life spending time playing golf and participating in the local social clubs that Holly Lake has to offer. She was a member of Holly Tree Chapel where she volunteered for various serving opportunities. Being the person she was she had a hard time settling into complete retirement and took a part time job working at Ed’s Place, a local restaurant owned and operated by her sister’s boyfriend Ed and her sister Margo. In the Spring of 2011, she was diagnosed with bile duck cancer and the battle began. She fought a good fight. God has plans that we do not always understand but by faith she choose to trust Him. On May 18 2012, it was God’s plan to have her leave her loved ones and join Him in her permanent home. Anjanette was preceded in death by husband, James Ralph Payton and is survived by her son, Donald Wayne Payton and wife Elaine; daughters, Rhonda Sorrells and husband Johnny, Renea Phelps and husband Tony; grandchildren, Jarrett Sorrells and wife Joey, Joshua Sorrells, Payton Phelps, Montana Phelps, Jobi Phelps; great grandchildren, Madison Sorrells, Jackson Sorrells, and Macy Sorrells; sister, Margo Dowell; niece and nephew, Shay Morse and Brandon Dowell. Graveside service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, May 22nd at Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 26th at Holly Tree Chapel, 1620 FM 2869, Holly Lake Ranch, TX 75765
