Ann Epps' Obituary
Ann Mayfield Epps died in the arms of her loving husband, Jeff Epps, on Christmas Day, 2019. Ann was born on February 12, 1956 in Seguin, Texas and raised in Dallas. She and her husband, Jeff, married in 1988 after meeting as volunteer counselors for Young Life.
Ann and Jeff shared a love of nature and animals. They were parents to a variety of animals including dogs, cats, a horse, and a pig. Ann had a generous heart and provided a loving home to countless strays over the years.
Ann graduated from Richardson High School, received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio as a University Scholar. She later received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas as a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society.
Ann, a Licensed Professional Counselor, began her career in 1992 at The Country Place, an adolescent counseling center, and had been with Hope Speaks (formerly Minirth Clinic) for 19 years. She worked in the areas of grief and loss, trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression.
Visitation will be held on January 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services for Ann will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 3, 2020, at Restland Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
