Ann Ross Hall's Obituary
HALL, ANN ROSS was born on May 22, 1926, in Dallas, TX, to Virgil and Gladys Ross. She was the second of five children. She passed into eternity on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the age of 86. Ann is survived by Henry C. Hall, her husband of 66 years; daughter Sherry Malloy and her husband Bruce; grandsons Christopher Malloy of Lincoln, NE, and Kevin Malloy and his wife Lydia, of Vermillion, SD; brother Bill Ross of Tucumcari, NM; and sister Wanda Hampton of Frisco, TX. She also leaves several nephews and nieces and their families. Ann was preceded in death by son Henry C. Hall, Jr., oldest brother Virgil E. Ross, youngest brother James W. Ross, and parents. Ann gave her life to Jesus Christ at the age of nine at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. Ann had a long government career including the Air Force, Veterans Administration Hospital, Food and Drug Administration, and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). She retired in Dallas in 1975 as an executive assistant to the SW Regional Director for DEA. She then joined Mary Kay Cosmetics where she became a Sales Director, retiring after 18 years. She was a past member of Lakeside and Prestonwood Baptist Churches in Dallas. Ann and Henry raised their children in the Casa Linda area of Dallas and later built a home on Lake Whitney. After residing another 13 years in Richardson, in 1992 Ann and Henry built their dream home in Lajitas, TX, overlooking their beloved Big Bend Mountains. For the next 13 years, Ann immersed herself in sharing the love of Christ in the local communities, especially with the children, as a very active member of Big Bend Baptist Church. In failing health, she spent her last few years in Del Rio under the care of her family and caregivers until the Lord called her peacefully home. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Del Rio. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by Restland Memorial Park, 9220 Restland Rd, Richardson, TX 75080 (972) 238-7111. Visitation will be Monday, July 30 from 6 to 8 p with the funeral being held at the Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 31 at 3:30 pm. Internment will be in Restland Memorial Park.
