When I was a second grader in Austin, Texas, Aunt Ann mailed me her amazingly high heeled shoes! Wow! I took them to school with me, probably for show and tell, but the biggest story was that I successfully walked the eight blocks from school to my house wearing them! What a feat!! OUCH! She expressed her love to me in a creative fashion. I remember her fondly for not letting my parents divorce separate me from her affection. She was able to love beyond tragedy and bring healing to hurting hearts. God gifted her with a healing, inclusive love. I love her for every expression of that gift.
