Ann Hasseltyne Campbell Perkins' Obituary
Ann Hasseltyne Campbell Perkins, aged 98, passed away on February 25, 2024 at her home in Dallas, Texas. She was born March 23, 1925 in Lebanon, Tennessee to Julian Heath Campbell and Amy Weir Rothrock Campbell. She was the youngest of five children.
She moved from Nashville Tennessee upon the death of her father and lived with her sister, Dora and her family in Palestine, Texas until moving to Dallas in 1955. She joined First Presbyterian Church Dallas and was a member there for the rest of her life. It was there that she met Richard Perkins in the adult singles class. They married In the chapel in 1957.
Ann was a loving wife, daughter-in-law, sister, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She loved dogs and owned and loved many throughout her lifetime. Ann was fiercely independent and continued to live by herself in her home after her beloved Richard died in 1986. Ann was a friend to many in her neighborhood and they looked in on her often.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her sisters Nancy, Dora and Bessie, and her brother Jim. She is survived by her nieces Suzanne Madden, Karen Burns, Martha McSweeney, Sandy Perkins, and nephews Jim Campbell, Steve Perkins and Mike Perkins.
Ann leaves her family with a lifetime of wonderful memories and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Services for Ann Perkins will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 1835 Young St, Dallas, Texas 75201
