Ann Margaret Polk's Obituary
Heflin, Margaret L. Peacefully passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2011 with her loving husband, Irvin, by her bedside. Her strong belief in salvation in Jesus Christ has led her to eternal life with her LORD. From her early religious training in the Christian Union Church in Douglas, OK, she also was a member at First Presbyterian (Dallas), Brookhollow Baptist (DeSoto), and finally First Baptist (Dallas). Born 91 years ago in Marshall, OK, she graduated from Okla. A & M, received the Master degree from UNT, retired from DISD teaching at Peabody and Mark Twain schools, and enjoyed traveling to see her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, her daughter Margaret Ann Clayton and her husband, Mark, (Wylie,TX), and her son Robert and his wife, Gloria, (Gresham, OR). She has five grandchildren: Esther Hill (Troutdale, OR), Christie Rehmon (Gresham, OR), Bethany Taylor (Guam), Trudi Kaufmann (Farmersville), and Kyle Clayton (Southlake). She also has 6 great-grandchildren, another great-grandchild to be born in April, and two foster great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Carrie Raulston (Dallas) and Lou Jackson (Houston), and many cousins.
