Ann Marie Rodriguez's Obituary
A little over a year after surviving open heart surgery, Nana was rushed to the hospital. Her heart was not strong enough to survive another surgery. In the early morning hours of June 28th a day after her 38th birthday, Anna Marie Rodriguez, drew her last breath with her mother Lisa Rodriguez-Maldonado by her side. She is survived by her 3 children; Mia, Sofia and Nathaniel. Her family includes mother Lisa, step-father Gerardo Maldonado, sisters; Yasmin Salazar and Erica Eang, grandmother Priscilla Hernandez, Uncle Santiago Hernandez, Aunts; Carmen Hernandez, Rena Rodriguez, Lauren Reyna, nephew Evan and niece Kaiya. Although she battled with her own demons, Nana never stopped loving her family and friends. She didn't always make the right choices but she always had the biggest heart. Her larger than life spirit, smile and laughter will forever be missed by all that knew and loved her during her short life.
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
