Genevieve Ann Turek, 91, born November 26, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Genevieve Hennegan, passed away November 4, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.She was a loving mother who always thought of others first. Genevieve had a dry, witty sense of humor and loved all animals, especially her cats. She also had a big heart and would always be there for those in need. Genny was a lover of art, politics, music, and nature. She married Andrew Turek on June 5, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and she attended Chicago Art Institute. Genevieve will be missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Genevieve Hennegan, husband Andrew Turek and son Andrew Thomas Turek.Genevieve is survived by her daughters; Anna Shine, Genevieve Bellah and Lisa Turek, son Joseph Turek all of Dallas, Texas, and three grandchildren: Stefan Shine, Brendan McCaughey, and Ian Turek.Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park.A reception to celebrate her life will be held immediately after the service at: 9906 El Patio Drive, Dallas, TX 75218.
