Ann Langley Wilmarth's Obituary
Ann Langley Wilmarth, 84, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, in Garland, Texas. She was born April 3, 1940, in Commerce, Texas to Hobart Langley and Felicia Walls.
After graduating high school, she worked her way up to a revenue accountant in the oil and gas industry, and on September 6, 1967, she married the love of her life, Scott D. Wilmarth. Ann had three sons together with Scott and had a daughter, who is a beloved sister to the boys, from a previous relationship. She loved and cared for all of her family deeply, enjoying every moment she spent together with them.
Ann was most recognized by her friends and family for her incredible proficiency in sewing, a skill she learned early in life as she made her own clothes. She used this skill to make clothing for her children and grandchildren, making many memorable and well-loved pieces throughout the years. She was a fantastic example of selfless giving – always putting others' needs above her own.
She worked as a revenue accountant in the oil and gas industry until she retired, where she then enjoyed traveling with her family and finding new places to explore.
Ann had life-long friends that felt like family, keeping in touch by meeting up for a bite to eat or by talking on the phone for hours, catching up with the friends she loved.
Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband, Scott D. Wilmarth, her parents, Hobart and Felicia Langley, her brother John “Johnnie” Langley, and her sisters, Helen Currin and Janice Rogers.
She is survived by her children, Sheree A. Keefer, Scott D. Wilmarth, Jr., John A. Wilmarth, and Paul D. Wilmarth, 15 grandchildren, her brother William Langley, sister Linda Masters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
