Anna Marie Ammons' Obituary
Born February 19, 1914 in Dallas, Texas; passed away August 11, 2009 at home in Tyler, Texas. Anna was a very spirited, humorous, a little stubborn, and immensely helpful woman who would give you anything to help you along or make you smile. She worked as an aircraft machinist during World War II, was a professional seamstress, and for a period of time ran a day care in a bowling alley. Anna loved sewing, reading, baking, gardening (especially roses) and above all, her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Casa View United Methodist Church. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ammons; and parents, William and Maysie Crump. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Homer; grandchildren, Dianna Marie Homer Banner and husband Blake, Jennifer Lynn Homer, Chad Eric Homer; and great-granddaughter, Grace Kaylee-Marie Banner. A service will be held in Anna’s honor at 3:00 pm, Friday, August 14, 2009 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel, with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park, Court of Trinity.
