Anna Ray Edwards' Obituary
Anna Ray Bishop Edwards, longtime Dallas resident, passed away in Temple, Texas, on June 9, 2015, at age 101. She was born in Denton, Texas, on August 29, 1913, to Ray and Anna Bishop. She taught in the Dallas Independent School District for 21 years before her retirement. She was a charter member of Urban Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband of 49 years, H. G. “Skinnie” Edwards. She is survived by children James R. Edwards, John Douglas Edwards, Sherie Edwards Garrett, and spouses; 4 grandchildren and spouses; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services for Anna will take place at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Floral tributes are welcomed as are donations to a favorite charity.
