Anna Lee Lister's Obituary
Anna Lee Lister passed peacefully from this life Thursday, September 18, 2014 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. She was born in Kearns, Texas on April 9, 1928. She was preceded in death by her sons James Lister Jr. and Fredrick Lister. Anna Lee Lister is survived by her brother Albert Charles Jacobs; three children, Barbara J. Childs, Patricia A. Nance, and Alton L. Lister; eleven grandchildren, Elaine Levingston, Yolanda Childs, Celia Childs, Karlton Nance, Kalei Nance, Joseph Ross Lister, Casey Fleming, Alton Lister II, Alexa Lister, Amare Lister, and Avery Lister; four great- grand children, William Bonner, Marvin Levingston, Elijah Lister, and Crimson Fleming, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family. Mom, We had a wonderful mother, one who never really grew old; Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold; Her eyes were as bright as shining stars, and in her cheeks fair roses you see. We had a wonderful mother, and that’s the way it will always be. But take heed, because she’s still keeping an eye on all of us, So let’s make sure she will like what she sees. Love your children, Jean, Pat, and Al Grandma/Nana, When we think of you we think of love and strength. We were truly blessed to have you as our grandmother. You laid the foundation for our family. You taught us when life gets hard, to get down on our knees and pray. You showed us that we could always rely on family. Your spirit will forever be in our presence. Your strength and grace will forever be remembered. We love you always, Your grandchildren The service for Anna will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 12:30 PM in Restland Wildwood Chapel. The visitation for Anna will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Restland staff for Anna Lister.
