Anna Marie Lowe's Obituary
LOWE, ANNA MARIE died peacefully on Monday afternoon, February 4, in Dallas. She was 95 years old and had lived in her home of almost 50 years with her husband, Bruce, of almost 70 years until the last four weeks of her life. When she died at Presbyterian Village North after a hospitalization and several weeks of rehabilitation, Anna Marie was surrounded by her husband, her younger son, Woody, and a very close friend, Paulette Harrison. Eugene and Blanch Collins were Anna Marie’s parents. She had an older brother, Alton, and a younger brother, Daniel. She was raised on a farm in the small town of Bradley, Arkansas, where she rode to school on a horse with her big brother. Anna Marie began playing the piano for her Baptist congregation when she was eleven years old. During her husband’s pastorates as a Baptist minister, she was the church organist. Anna Marie accompanied soloists and choirs extensively during her years as a church musician. When her daughter-in- law, Rebekah, asked her to play the piano this past Christmas, she sat down at the piano for the last time and played a series of hymns. Anna Marie will be missed … not only by her husband, Bruce W. Lowe, and her two children, Wayne and Woody, and Wayne’s family, Rebekah, and their two sons, Kakumyo and Chris, but also by family and friends and the caring community at Royal Lane Baptist Church where she loved so many and was loved by so many. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. A Burial Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Restland Abbey Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas.
