Anna Marie Sheffield's Obituary
Anna Marie Sheffield, 75, of Richardson, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2019. She was born on May 13, 1943, in Franklin, LA. On August 15, 1971, she married Davis Sheffield.As their two children grew up, Anna worked as a volunteer at their elementary schools in both Memphis and Richardson and was employed as secretary at Richardson North Junior High for five years. She was also active in serving at Town North Presbyterian Church, where she was church hostess for more than 20 years. Anna joined the Dallas County A&M Mothers’ Club and served on the board for many years. She worked countless hours to raise scholarship money for the students by making crafts and received a Ring of Honor pin for her service. She loved being an Aggie Mom and made lifelong friends. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed a little competition with her grandson to see who had the better record predicting the outcomes of bowl games and March Madness brackets. She also enjoyed watching her granddaughter compete in gymnastics meets. The 1985-1986 Briarcrest Junior Saints yearbook was dedicated to Anna and describes her selfless actions and attitude that were evident to all who knew her. “She is a wonderful example of a caring parent who has given time and energy beyond measure for the betterment of all the children of this school. We have been enriched by her presence and blessed by her devotion.”Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Paula Naquin, brothers Roland Barras and Willie Naquin Jr., and sister Dolly Guerra. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Davis Sheffield; son Blinn Sheffield of Greenwood, MS and daughter Ann Kuebler and husband Kevin of Paris, TX; grandchildren William and Caroline Kuebler; and sister Barbara Comeaux of Delcambre, LA.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, PO Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125.“Many, LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us.
