Anne Louise Browder's Obituary
Anne Clark Browder passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 24, 2010. She was born in Groesbeck, TX on Feb. 25, 1922. At the age of 3 Anne lost her mother and she and her father moved to St. Joe, MO. Anne lived there until she moved to Mirando City, TX, to live with her aunt and uncle, Bernice and Nolan Able. Anne graduated from Baylor University where she was president of her sorority and made many lifelong friends. She then moved back to South Texas to teach school in Taft, TX and was still included in the Taft High School reunions. Anne met Harris Mack Browder at a soda fountain in Groesbeck, and they were married June 6, 1948. The couple moved to Oklahoma for several years before moving to Dallas in 1951. Anne lived in Dallas for the rest of her life. She was a wonderful wife and mother and friend to many. Anne was a 60 year member of Park Cities Baptist Church and the Amitie Sunday School Class. She was the president of the Arthur Kramer Elementary School PTA, president of the Northaven Book Club, and president of the Caladium Garden Club. She was a poll worker at Arthur Kramer for many years. Anne loved to travel and she took trips all over the world. Her grandchildren were her greatest joys in life, and she was blessed by the birth of her great-grandchild, Madison Anne. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Mack and her son Gregg. She is survived by her son Andy Browder and his wife Linda and granddaughter Vicki Browder and daughter in law Cindy Browder. She is also survived by daughter Brenda Ray and her husband Steve and grandchildren Jessica and Austin Ray and granddaughter Meredith Ferrell and her husband Corby and their daughter Madison Anne Ferrell. Funeral services will be Tuesday Dec. 28th at 11:00 am at Ellis Chapel at Park Cities Baptist Church, followed by a private burial service in Groesbeck. Rev Tom Hill will be officiating.
