Anne Elizabeth Hargrave's Obituary
Hargrave, Anne Elizabeth of Dallas died peacefully in the presence of her family on May 15, 2010. Born June 15, 1940, in Coral Gables, Florida, to Kimble and Kathryn Johnson, Anne grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, where she developed a lifelong love for the ocean. Married in 1967 to Malcolm “Mack” Hargrave, she embraced the move to Texas in 1969. Together, Anne and Mack raised three children in Lake Highlands. Anne’s life revolved around her children and grandchildren, her friends, her husband and her “puppies”. All who met Anne could not escape her loving warmth, charm, style, and her love for her dogs. Cooking was her other love. She enjoyed feeding her friends and no one cooked like Anne. Her abiding joy, dignity, beauty, and Southern hospitality endeared her to so many. Anne is survived by her husband, Mack; son, Robert; daughter Melissa Hargrave Burge and husband David of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; daughter Farrel Hargrave Chapman and husband Keith of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Lloyd, Samantha, Rachel, Colby, Brooke, Kyle and Carson. The family invites those who wish to celebrate Anne’s life to join them Wednesday, May, 19, at 10 a.m. Lake Highlands Methodist, 9015 Plano Road in Dallas. Reception following.
