Annie Belle Boothe's Obituary
BOOTHE, ANNIE BELLE – Annie was born in Dallas County on March 3, 1923 to John Jefferson and Elizabeth Joplin Boothe. She died on October 26, 2012 following a brief illness. Annie retired from the clothing business after years of employment in several clothing companies. In the years following her retirement, she focused on her primary interest, volunteering. She was actively involved in church work and she was a motivated worker for a variety of charitable organizations and benevolent endeavors. Annie was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, a regular visitor to area nursing homes and she worked in preparing and delivering meals for the elderly, among numerous other volunteering activities. She maintained an active social life with friends, neighbors and family members throughout her life. Annie possessed a strong sense of adventure and the ability to find humor in most situations. She is survived by four sisters and their spouses, Ola Boothe Miller and Fred Miller; Katie Boothe; Elizabeth Boothe; Doris Boothe Snell and Luther Snell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families and her many friends. The pallbearers will be her great-nephews Winston, Teddy and Alex Booth and Josh and Jacob Oliver. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
