Anthony Michael Durman's Obituary
Anthony Michael Durman, 35 years old, of McKinney, Texas, previously of Allentown, PA. died August 18, 2017 in McKinney, Texas of an accidental gunshot wound. He was born September 5, 1981 to Tina Hamilton in Philadelphia, PA. He married Stacie Lynn Brown on May 20, 2006, in Cancun, Mexico. Antbony was an IT administrator for Human Resources at British Telecom. Anthony had a passion for sports. He started as a young boy in Florida playing tee-ball for Piggly Wiggly. He played Football for Rhawnhurst in Philadelphia & later played football & baseball all through his youth for the Parkland Youth Association. As an adult, he was a member of the softball team Bomb Squad and played hockey for various teams. He attended college at Johnson and Wales University and was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. Anthony is survived by his loving wife Stacie Lynn Durman and his beautiful daughters, Hailey, 7, and Sadie, 3 all of McKinney, Texas; his mother Tina Hamilton owner of myHR Partner of Allentown, PA and sister, Rachel Hamilton of Philadelphia, PA. He was survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his Grandparents – Sarah and Mark Daroff of Philadelphia, PA. Anthony was passionate about all Philadelphia sports teams including; The Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and 76ers. He loved to compete with his lifelong best friend Mike Heffelfinger on pretty much everything- including games, sports and working out, eating, you name it. Most of all he and he was a forever cheerleader and protector of his family and loving husband, father, brother and son. He is remembered by all who knew him as a man with a huge heart. Two memorial services are being held where we encourage optional Philadelphia team attire. Friday, August 25th at 10am, at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas. Shiva will be observed from Noon – 5 pm at the Homewood Suites 455 Central Expressway, N. Allen, Texas Thursday, August 31st at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes 1629 Hamilton St. Allentown, PA. Calling hours are from 12:30-2pm. Services at 2 pm.
