Anthony Oddo's Obituary
Anthony LaManna Oddo, 94 years of Dallas, TX passed away November 16, 2018, in Dallas, TX of natural causes. He was born February 28.1924, to Nicolas S. Oddo and Antonina LaManna in Ybor City, Florida. He married Lisa Kindel on July 26, 2003, in Dallas, TX. He was a small business owner of a grocery store for 10 years, worked for the Dallas post office for 10 years, and DISD substitute teacher until 2014. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas. He served in the Army from 1942 – 1946 as a soldier. He is survived, by his spouse, Lisa Oddo of Dallas, TX; his niece, Anoinette Lopez of Tampa, Florida; step-daughters, Claudia Pulte, Elsa Lopez and stepson, Jorge Cruz, and five grandchildren. He was a very passionate person that gave everything his all, both in his personal life as well as his professional one. He was an avid history buff and would spend hours discussing any historical event. Anthony enjoyed sharing stories about the places he had visited in his life that brought him joy. He spoke 5 different languages and would always say how beneficial it was for him during his time in the Army. He also got a kick out of the surprised reaction on peoples’ faces when he would respond in their native language. He was a loving husband, step-father, and friend. Who will be greatly missed but always remembered.The family will receive guest on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service to celebrate Anthony’s life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 2:30PM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
