Anthree Walker Silmon's Obituary
Anthree Silmon was born in Jacksonville, Texas on October 4, 1924, to Ed and Missouri Walker. She was the oldest of 3.
She attended Churchill school and Fred Douglas High School where she received her diploma. She helped with her household chores on her parent's farm until she married.
She married Wade Silmon on September 4, 1924. To this union they were Blessed with one daughter, Annie Pearl. After moving to Dallas, she and her husband was employed by Joan Ann Neuhoff. She was there for 40 years until she retired. After retirement she went on to work for the Neuhoff children until her health failed.
She gained her wings at Parkland Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She was a Beloved Wife, Mother, Aunt, and Friend to many and loved by everyone that knew her.
She excepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas. After moving to Dallas, she joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the Sr. Choir. She loved her church and church family.
Anthree approached life with boundless kindness, compassion, class and an unwavering faith. Her love for family inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for her infectious laughter, talking on the phone and playing her some dominoes.
Anthree was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Missouri Walker, Brother Ed Walker Jr., and sister Anthanette Hurd and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her love will live on in her daughter Annie Pearl Russel (Melvin-Deceased) nieces Yvonne Smith (Bob), Louise Hurd, Brenda Boyd, Pearl Walker-Jones (Robert), Beverly Hurd Nephews-Edward Walker (Ruth), Melvin Clemons, Roy Womack
