Antonette Elizabeth Gable's Obituary
Antonette Elizabeth Gable, 78, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Plano, Texas.
Born in Dallas to Henry and Katherine Smith, Antonette grew up with strong family values and a deep love for community. She married the love of her life, David Clark Gable, on May 14, 1966, and together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Antonette will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and commitment to those she loved. She was actively involved in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD and a faithful member of Christian Center Family Church in Farmers Branch, where she nurtured her spiritual life and friendships. Her passions included reading, writing, camping, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Katherine Smith; and her sisters, Mary Katherine Housewright and Margaret McLaren; her brother, Bobby Smith; son-in-law, Blake Lindsay, Jennifer’s husband.
Antonette’s legacy lives on through her beloved husband, David Clark Gable; her daughters, Jennifer Lindsay and Melinda Willi, and her husband Zak; her cherished grandchildren, Troy and Annette Willi; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A service to honor Annette’s life will be held at Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Phil Burchett of Christian Center Family Church will officiate.
